Delhi Daredevils are in a good form for the last few matches and with the inclusion of Paul Collingwood, the Gautam Gambhir-led Delhi side is doing a great job.
Last night they outplayed Royal Challengers Bangalore and credit must be given to Collingwood, Pradeep Sangwan and leg spinner Amit Mishra.
Captain Gautam Gambhir praised his team’s effort and stated: “We played some very good cricket,” the captain observed. “Winning the toss helps, I guess and once we had done that, we knew that if we put 180-185 runs on the board, we had the bowling to restrict the opposition.”
He also added that he was very happy to have beaten a quality side like Bangalore saying: “Bangalore is a quality side and we are always threatened by them. But things are going our way and a score of 180 is always very difficult to chase.”
Gambhir main aim is to make the semi-finals and he knows that his team needs to maintain this performance in order to achieve that feat. He wrapped up the interview stating: “We haven’t even made the semi-finals yet. We have a couple of away games and our focus as of now is making the semi-finals.”
Delhi have won their last 4 encounters and for me they have already made it to the top 4 and it’s just the matter of time before the round robin matches ends. Stay tuned to get all the latest updates on IPL.
