Indian Cricket Team Goes to West Indies for ICC T20 World Cup

The Indian Cricket Team has left for West Indies to play the ICC T20 World Cup which kicks off on April 30. The Indian Skipper, Mahindra Singh Dhoni has expressed confidence in his side to put up a good show at the tournament.

With Virender Sehwag injured and out of the side, doubts have been raised about the recently concluded IPL season affecting the team’s performance in the World Cup. However the captain believes that the side is equipped enough with talent to lift the World Cup this year.

On the IPL front, skeletons just keep tumbling out of the closet. The newly appointed IPL interim chief Chirayu Amin has said that the BCCI made a mistake by placing too much confidence in Lalit Modi. He added that the Governing Council should have been more vigilant.

Moving away from cricket, Shahabad Academy and Madhya Pradesh hockey academy have entered the semi-finals of the All-India Women’s hockey tournament being played at the Aishbagh Stadium in Bhopal. Shahabad Academy defeated Orissa XI 3-2 in a closely contested match.
