Chennai Super Kings beat Bangalore by 5 wickets:

IPL 3: IPL 2010 Points Table: Chennai knock down the upper ranked Bangalore by 5 wickets in the 28th league match of the IPL session 3 played at the P Chidambaram Stadium on yesterday.

It was an all-round performance of the Super kings which led the team toward a big victory against the Royals. Opener Murali Vijay had a major contribution in the match with a valuable 78 of 39 to reach a target of 162.

Earlier in the match Royal’s captain Anil Kumble won the toss and opted to bat first to settle a big target for the host but were restricted to 161 by the super Kings.

Coming to bat at second Chennai easily reached the target with the great support of 78 from Vijay, and then by 44 of Raina.

Murali Vijay was later declared man of the match. It is to be mentioned here that in the first match between the two in the previous phase of the seriesChennai lost the match to Bangalore by 36 runs.
